If you cannot see this entry, unfortunately, I have removed you from my friend lists. I haven't done a friend cut since I've had this journal so it was long overdue. You were removed from my friends list for the following reasons:

1) Inactivity for 2+ years.

2) I didn't feel that we clicked. Either I was no longer reading your journal or it was obvious to me that you weren't reading my journal.

3) I was beginning to feel like an audience member to your friend lists instead of a friend.

If you think I made a mistake, please feel free to let me know. I hope there are no hurt feeling because I feel really awful having to do this.

I just want to say that I started Livejournal over 10 years ago because I had trouble befriending like minded people in real life. Some of you have been through the worst parts of my life: dealing with racists housemates, having my financial aid pulled my senior year of college and I was forced to move back home, falling out with my mom because she taking my money(without my permission or knowledge) and giving it to my brother because he refused to get a job to support his family, being unemployed from Sept 2013-Jan 2014, my brother-in-law accidentally overdosing and passing away as a result, etc). I just want to thank you all for being there no matter which part of my life you joined my friends list. My feelings were starting to become hurt by how some people were becoming cliquish on here and I was feeling a bit left out in the cold because I wasn't regarded as one of the 'cool' Livejournal users. Honestly, folks like that do not belong on my friends list. If I kept you that means that I'm legitimately interested in reading about you life, fandoms, opinions, etc even if I don't comment on every single one of your entries. Just keep being awesome. :-)

I can't believe it's February already. January just zoomed on by. Hubby and I were supposed to host a small Super Bowl party, but it's pretty crappy out and we just want to spend the evening with company. Also, his mom was trying to manipulate the whole situation, so it ended up not being a no go. I don't think I've ever mentioned this since I've been with my hubby, but there are times where I don't care for my mother-in-law. She was basically trying to control who we would invite to our apartment. Hubby wanted to invite his cousin and boyfriend only because they're pretty cool to hang out with, but his mom decided to extend the invitation to his aunt and uncle (his cousin's parents). At first we didn't mind, but as the week went on his mom and aunt were being super demanding about ordering seafood and for us to pay for 100% of the meal. Hubby woke up this morning and told me that he was just going to send everyone a text saying that he wasn't feeling well, which was sort true because he had a headache from their demands. That ended that dilemma. Hopefully, they're able to order seafood and pay for it themselves. We're just going to order pizza and enjoy each others company.

I brought Lost Sphear on the Nintendo Switch with some leftover Christmas money. I played on Friday for about two hours and I can definitely say it's a step up from it's predecessor, I am Setsuna. Don't get me wrong, I liked I am Setsuna and the character design, but the snowy theme was a bit old and annoying. I also like the fact that you can move faster by foot on the world map in Lost Sphear. That was my pain point with I am Setsuna. I felt like you had to walk forever to get your destiniation. If I drop Lost Sphear for any reason, you can interact with your party members to figure out where you're supposed to go unlike when I dropped I am Setsuna for a month and had to the start the game over because I had no clue where I was supposed to go. I'm not big into using strategy guides or youtube to figure things out in games maybe except for with Legend of Zelda (because reasons). I prefer to play my games blind.

Other than that, not much else is going on. If you follow me on Instagram, I'm sewing up a storm if you want to follow my progress there.

I'm still alive, but it looks like a handful of people removed me from their friends list. Oh well! *shrugs shoulders*

I didn't mean to be away for so long. I'm going to try to be a little more active going forward. :-)

It's been awhile since I wrote a game review. I completed Rise of the Tomb Raider and World of Final Fantasy this month and I will say that both games are unique in their own ways. As usual,I tend not to write things about the story in my reviews due to potential spoilers. Anywho, without further ado, here's my reviews for World of Final Fantasy and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

World of Final Fantasy ReviewCollapse )

Rise of Tomb RaiderCollapse )

Now that I'm done with those games, here's my current backlog:

Fire Emblem Fates:Conquest(3DS)
The Order: 1886(PS4)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (3DS)
Final Fantasy Type-0(PS4)
Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
Xenoblade X (Wii U)

The next game will probably be Final Fantasy XV or Type-0. I usually clear my backlog of Nintendo games when I'm traveling.

Wishlist or Pre-ordered:
Kingdom Hearts 2.8(PS4)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 remix(PS4)-Preordered
Fire Emblem Warriors(3ds)
Fire Emblem Echoes(3ds)
Life is Strange(PS4)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(3ds)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind(Wii U)

I know that the Nintendo Switch was recently announced. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with it, so I'm going to pass on it for now until I see a better gaming catalogue. I really do hope that this system doesn't bomb like the Wii U. Nintendo needs to be a little more creative with the designs of their system. A lot of people I know didn't purchase the Wii U because it was frequently mistake for the Wii. Also, I feel like Nintendo doesn't market some of the stuff very well. I mean we didn't get in-depth details about the Nintendo Switch until earlier this month. If a console that you want to do well is coming in out March 2017, you should've started the marketing campaign mid-2016 to get people excited for it. That's just my opinion though.

Anywho, enough talk about video games. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

2016 Friending Meme

A 2016 LJ Friending Meme!

Hi Everyone! Sorry, I haven't posted in almost a month. I've been super busy/stressed, but I least I have kept up with reading and commenting on everyone's entries. So fret not, I am still alive.

I recently had a phone interview with this non-profit company down the street from my current job. They're looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join their team. It was hard to gauge whether or not they were impressed with me. The team lead and I seemed to click really well on the phone, but I'm not too sure about the director of the department. She explained that she had a lot going on Friday, so I'm sure that was the reason I didn't feel the connection. Please keep your fingers crossed that I move on to the next interview process. They're looking for this person to start mid-December/early January. It would be nice to have something lined up for the new year because I'm seriously getting close to quitting my current job.

I'll explain under the cutCollapse )

So until I find new job, it's probably going to be difficult to post on a daily basis. I'm so tried when I get home most nights that I only have energy Friday-Sunday because I don't have to be that awful job. I will still be reading and commenting though and post when I have the energy to post. I'll try to post a fandom entry later this week because god knows I'm overdue for one.
